You’ve surely had wine from terracotta amphorae before, but you’ve definitely never had a Merlot (60%) blended with Malbec (40%) from Bordeaux! This cuvée had so much energy after fermentation that the Hubert family winery had to tame it with 12 months of aging in these very oval clay vessels, where the porous material allows for significant micro-oxidation, enabling the wines to open up and soften as they age. Look forward to a Bordeaux red with noticeable minerality, delicious fruitiness, a full body, and a long finish. We recommend decanting it before serving.
