This wine is a juicy ride! From the very first sip, it transported us straight to France’s Jura region – specifically to a light red Ploussard. No surprise there, since Martin draws inspiration from that very style when working with the grapes. The fruit comes from the Stará vinice vineyard in Těšetice, undergoes three days of semi-carbonic maceration in wooden vats, and then spends a year aging in old French oak barrels. On the nose, expect wild berries, pickled cherries, and red grapefruit. The palate delivers zesty acidity, a mineral edge, and rich notes of rosehip jam, watermelon, and a hint of spice on the finish. Martin may call it a rosé, but we’re happy to call it a light and energetic red – because this is a serious wine that proudly represents the best of the Czech natural wine scene.
