Domaine MADA was founded by Edouard Adam, originally from Tunisia, who lived and studied business in Montpellier. After visiting the vineyards of his girlfriend’s parents in Languedoc, he became passionate about winemaking and decided to pursue it full-time. In 2016–17, he established his own small winery near Gignac in the Languedoc region – and so Domaine MADA was born (the name is a palindrome of “Adam”).

He manages his vineyards organically and biodynamically, without the use of chemicals, allowing the vines to grow freely among the native flora and fauna. The soils range from gravelly sands to quartz-rich and clay-based components, giving the wines a firm mineral backbone and a fresh, vibrant character.

In the cellar, Edouard relies on spontaneous fermentation, keeps stems during maceration for added structure, and bottles his wines without filtration, fining, or added sulfur. His wines carry a clear signature – fruit-forward, light, and full of energy.
