Very interesting and 4 years mature Riesling! A third of the wine macerated for a month on the skins, a third underwent semi-carbonic fermentation and a third simply like classic whites, then matured together in old barriques, which adds to the roundness and fullness of the wine. The taste is slightly earthy, herbal, mineral with tones of honey and baked apples.

Slobodné is one of the most progressive natural wineries in Slovakia. You can find them just below Trnava in the village of Zemianské sady. The history of their family winery dates back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. They are not only winemakers, but they also grow classic field crops on their 50 hectares, all in an organic regime. You will find a variety of varieties such as Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Frankovka or Cabernet Sauvignon. They are not afraid to experiment in grape processing, so they often use Italian terracotta amphorae, Georgian clay pots qvevri or concrete eggs for fermentation and maturation. In addition, their orange wines are among the best! That's why it's no wonder that you come across them from New York to Tokyo ... And also here in Brno!
